To remove the heated Oxygen Sensor (Bank 1 Sensor 1), one first ensure the engine temperature be above 48°c (120°F) which makes it easier for the removal of these sensors. Onanks of a reused sensor, apply anti-seize compound (P/N 5613695 or an equivalent) to the threads due to new service sensors being pre-coated. Start by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Disconnect the forward Oxygen Sensor's connecting wire and unfasten the forward Oxygen Sensor located in the Exhaust Manifold. For installation, locate the Oxygen Sensor into the Exhaust Manifold and tighten the same to 41n.m (30 lb ft). Finally tighten up the Oxygen Sensor connection and lower the vehicle.
