How to replace the ignition coil for Bank 1 on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

To replace the ignition coil for Bank 1, the fuel injector sight shield needs to be removed. Separate the ignition coil wiring harness electric connection from the coil that is to be replaced, detach the ignition coil retention bolt, and pull out the ignition coil. During the replacement of the new ignition coil, replace the new ignition coil, make sure that the seal from the spark plug is in position. Mount the ignition coil and then the ignition coil holding bolt and tighten it to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Reconnect ignition coil electrical connector and install the fuel injector sight shield.
