2008 Cadillac CTS Wheel Bearing Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the front wheel bearing and hub on those equipped with All Wheel Drive (AWD) on 2008 Cadillac CTS?
A: Begin awd front Wheel Bearing and hub work on vehicles by raising the vehicle and placing supports under it. Remove the tire and wheel. Use protective measures when you dispose the wheel driveshaft nut and uninstall the front brake rotor and Wheel Speed Sensor. Keep the outer constant velocity boot seal safe during Wheel Bearing mounting bolt removal. Employ the Wheel Hub remover tool (J 45859) to unlock wheel driveshaft from Wheel Bearing/hub while you detach Wheel Bearing/hub mounting bolts. Position the new Wheel Bearing/hub unit then bolt it to place and tighten all bolts to 135 n.m (100 lb ft). Reinstall the Wheel Speed Sensor but change both the wheel driveshaft retaining nut and brake rotor before you put the tire and wheel back on. Finally, lower the vehicle.
