Beginning the Steering Knuckle replacement in rear suspension requires vehicle elevation and support positioning. Start the procedure by removing the tire and wheel assembly followed by disconnection of the rear park brake cable from the brake rotor and subsequent removal of the park Brake Backing Plate. Before continuing replace the adjustable link while ensuring that a jack stand already supports the rear spring through the lower Control Arm. Start by taking off the upper Ball Joint then proceed with the lower shock absorber bolt and the lower Trailing Arm bolt that links to the knuckle and finally remove the lower Control Arm Bolt from the knuckle. The knuckle needs to be extracted from the vehicle after the complete bolt removal. The new knuckle needs to be placed first on the lower Control Arm before you can install the lower control bolt while adjusting the jack stand if required to get the upper Control Arm Bolt inside.
