How to replace Knock Sensor 1 on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

Start by removing the Intake Manifold in order to replace Knock Sensor 1. First disconnect the electrical connector from the Knock Sensor (KS) then remove its central bolt. Remove Knock Sensor 1 from its block position in the engine. The cleaning process of the ks mating surfaces should include full contact between the ks and engine block surfaces. You should never install washers or spring washers or toothed washers to the system during the installation process. Screw the bolt until it reaches the specified torque. Screw the ks into place along with the bolt on the engine block while tightening the ks bolt to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Link the ks wiring harness correctly and connect the electrical connector to the ks before reinstallation of the Intake Manifold.
