  A: Service operations on Exhaust Pipe/muffler hanger must begin by lifting and securing the entire vehicle. First separate the Exhaust Hanger from the rear suspension support bracket bolt while using suitable lubricant on the exhaust rod to help remove it. The Exhaust Hanger should be popped free from the Exhaust Pipe hanger rod when pulling outward. The rear Exhaust Hanger to hanger bracket nut must also be removed. You must repeat the previous lubrication process on the rear hanger rod before starting to detach the rear Exhaust Hanger from the tail pipe hanger rod by pulling it outward. To perform installation apply soap solution to both the rear hanger rod and inner diameter of the rear Exhaust Hanger before pushing the hanger into position over the tail pipe hanger rod which should be fit into the rear Exhaust Hanger bracket. Fasten the rear Exhaust Hanger to hanger bracket nut through a metric torque of 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Begin by applying soapy solution to the hanger rod of the Exhaust Pipe and the interior of the center Exhaust Hanger followed by inserting the hanger over the rod before mounting it onto the rear suspension support bracket bolt. Secure the bolt at 30 n.m (22 lb ft) tension and then lower the vehicle.
