How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket (JE5, JL9) on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

The brake caliper support process requires holding up the brake caliper using heavy mechanic's wire when moving it from the Brake Caliper Bracket to avoid damaging the hydraulic brake flexible hose. The Brake Pad retainers and brake pads must be removed from the Brake Caliper Bracket while removing its Brake Caliper Bracket bolts to extract the rear Brake Caliper Bracket. Check the brake mounting components along with hardware and the Brake Caliper Bracket for damage and replace the entire assembly if there are any detected issues. Begin installation by cleaning caliper bracket bolts threads and knuckle mounting holes with denatured alcohol or equivalent fluid then apply threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to two-thirds of lower caliper bracket bolt length before allowing ten-minute curing time. Connect and tighten the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts to 120 n.m (88 lb ft). Install Brake Pad retainers and brake pads to Brake Caliper Bracket before adding the brake caliper.
