The flat-bladed tool like a large screwdriver should be used to remove the crankshaft front oil seal. The crankshaft balancer along with engine front cover needs an inspection for surface damage. Insert the new crankshaft front oil seal into the engine front cover through use of the Seal Installer (J 35354-A) until the seal fully contacts its seating position. Complete procedure by using the Seal Installer (J 35354-A) to remove it before reattaching the crankshaft balancer while checking for leakage points.
