How to replace the drive pinion bearings in the rear drive axle on 2006 GMC Canyon?

In order to replace the drive pinion bearings in the rear drive axle, lift the vehicle and strip the differential and the drive pinion. Use bearing puller to take out the bearings and fit in the new ones using proper equipment. Tilter the pinion nut to obtain an accurate torque and re-fit the differential and drop the vehicle.
