How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?

In order to change Ignition Lock Cylinder, the vehicle must be in PARK. Disconnect the negative battery cable and cut off the SIR system. Take the steering column trim covers out, press the key in, and the lock out button to slide the lock cylinder out. Install again the new cylinder, trim covers and reconnect the battery.
