How to Replace the Tailgate Latch/Support Cable Assembly on the Endgate on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

In order to replace the latch/support cable assembly on the endgate, open and support the endgate and remove the cover. Take out the clips that hold the latch rods. Un screw the striker bolt on the support cable, lift the assembly, and put the new assembly in place. Refit the parts and close the endgate.
