How to replace the Back Up Light Switch on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

In order to change the back up lamp switch, lift and prop the vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connector and unzip the tie strap which connects the pigtail to the transmission. Take off the switch and replace it with a new switch that has an aluminum washer and it should be tightened accordingly. Connect the electrical connector back and lower the vehicle.
