How to replace the Back Up Light Switch on 2007 Chevrolet Colorado?

To replace the back up lamp switch, one would first lift and hold the vehicle. Pull off the back up lamp switch electrical connector located at the pigtail and release the tie strap that holds the pigtail to the transmission. Back up the lamp switch and the washer that is made of aluminum. To install, use a new aluminum washer to install the back up lamp switch into transmission case, tighten it to 44 n.m (32 lb ft). Secure the pigtail to the transmission using the tie strap and replace the back up lamp switch electrical connector at the pigtail before lifting the vehicle.
