How to replace the Neutral Safety Switch on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

In order to remove the Park/Neutral Back Up Switch, put on the parking brake and push the transmission to neutral. On the lever of the transmission control, release it and disconnect the electrical connector of the switch. Install the new switch, position it with the manual shaft, and tighten the bolts. Hose the electrical connector and replace the lever. Verify operation of the switch.
