  A: Begin upper Intake Manifold replacement by first removing fuel pipes/hoses and disconnecting cruise control cables from both the throttle lever and the accelerator control cable bracket before disconnecting the accelerator cable from Throttle Body lever and accelerator control cable bracket. The next step requires disconnecting the a/c compressor clutch electrical connector and a/c pressure switch electrical connector then removing the engine wire harness clip from the accelerator control cable bracket and bracket nuts. Secure the Throttle Body section of the accelerator control cable bracket with its cables attached before moving it out of the workspace. Start by disconnecting the throttle position (TP) sensor , idle air control (IAC) motor , and control port injector module . Then remove the engine wiring harness clip bolt and disconnect the evap canister purge solenoid valve and manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor . To install the components start with new o-ring seals to the pcv cover and power brake booster vacuum fitting followed by new o-ring seals to the fuel meter body and a new upper Intake Manifold gasket before adding the Intake Manifold - upper. Install the front two Throttle Body studs and Intake Manifold - upper studs by applying threadlock gm p/n 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) while tightening to 9 nm (80 inch lbs.). Reinstall the accelerator cable bracket and its nuts, tightening to 12 nm (106 inch lbs.)end by creating connections between the vacuum lines for power brakes and the pcv valve system. Complete the installation by reconnecting the a/c compressor clutch and a/c pressure switch when equipped and securing the accelerator control cable to its bracket before hooking it to the Throttle Body lever. Install the fuel pipes/hoses last.
