How to Replace the Front Rack and Pinion Steering Gear on 2005 Chevrolet Corvette?

In order to displace the rack and pinion, lift the vehicle and take off the tires. Disassemble tie rod ends and intermediate shaft, stabilizer shaft and power steering hoses. Support the crossmember, squeeze the coil spring and take out required bolts. Install fresh rack and pinion, reconnect parts and lower the vehicle.
