First use the j 35566 to remove the large seal retaining clamp before discarding it followed by removal and discarding of a smaller retaining clamp. First apply j 8059 to expand the snap ring before you can remove the outer joint and Axle Shaft. The outer joint exists as a single-unit replacement piece so disassemble it at your own risk because the process carries safety dangers and performance consequences. When installing the seal onto the Axle Shaft use the j 8059 to spread the snap ring and fill the joint seal with 110 - 130 g of recommended grease (3.9 - 4.6 ounces) before reinserting it with same amount of grease. Install new large and small seal retaining clamps before using the j 35566 tool to crimp the clamps. Reinstall the drive Axle Shaft into the vehicle.
