How to replace the front inside door handle on 2005 Cadillac CTS?

Starting the replacement of the front inside door handle requires you to remove the front door trim panel first. You need to remove the fastener holding the inside door handle onto the door trim panel. The handle can then be pulled forward to separate itself from the trim panel. Discard the door handle from its connection with the door handle linkage. When mounting the inside door handle rod should be fed directly to the door handle assembly's aperture before angling the assembly towards vehicle frontage. Insert the assembly to the rear position to lock the three tabs while installing the door handle fastener and tightening it to 2 Nm (18 lb in). Installation should conclude with reinstallation of the door trim panel.
