Start with dismantlement of the outer tie rod and hexagon jam nut from the inner tie rod assembly. Then remove the tie rod end clamp from the Rack and Pinion Boot and take off from the boot clamp for the Rack and Pinion Boot using side cutters and throw away the boot clamp. If there is breather tube, label its position on the gear assembly before pulling the Rack and Pinion Boot and the breather tube. Assemble by installing a new boot clamp onto the Rack and Pinion Boot and by greasing the inner tie road assembly and the rack/pinion gear assembly prior to installing the rack/pinion boot on the inner tie road assembly. Install the breather tube if available with it aligning to the mark made during the removal of the breather tube and the molded nipple of the Rack and Pinion Boot.
