How to replace the Return Power Steering Hose (LY7) on 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

A car service professional must start by draining power steering fluid from the reservoir before lifting and securing the vehicle. The necessary step is to remove the right front wheel with tire followed by unscrewing the inner fender liner to expose the front frame bolts. Support the right frame side using a utility stand while you detach the right frame-to-body bolts to effortlessly drop the right frame section with powertrain. Before servicing, the power steering return hose must disconnect from both the power steering cooling pipe and the power steering reservoir inlet hose yet all hoses, pipes and pump need to be capped to stop fluid from leaking out. Climb to a standing platform to lift the frame and powertrain and then replace right frame bolts before lowering the car to engage the floor jack on the frame. After setting up the floor jack under the frame and powertrain you should take out right side frame-to-body bolts to lower the right side of your vehicle frame and powertrain for adequate reservoir clearance. Begin the procedure by removing the power steering pressure pipe/hose from the power steering reservoir bracket followed by disconnecting the ecm wire harness from its clip on the reservoir. Next untighten the power steering reservoir mounting stud bolt to extract the power steering reservoir with the reservoir bracket and both attached hoses. First install the power steering reservoir outlet hose onto the power steering reservoir before placing both the power steering reservoir and reservoir bracket along with the hoses back into the vehicle. Tighten the mounting stud bolt of the power steering reservoir with 25 nm (19 ft. Lbs. Torque). Secure the power steering pressure pipe/hose to the power steering reservoir bracket while installing the ecm wire harness to the ecm wire harness clip that is present on the reservoir. After raising the right side of frame and powertrain using the floor jack you should install right side frame-to-body bolts before removing the floor jack. Redo the right side frame-to-body bolt removal procedure while supporting the frame on the utility stand. Start by lowering the powertrain frame right side while unfastening all the hoses and pipes from the pump. Afterward install the power steering reservoir inlet hose to the Power Steering Pump and the power steering reservoir return hose to the power steering cooling pipe. Raise the right frame and powertrain section with the utility stand and fit the rear frame-to-body bolt before tightening it to 240 nm (177 ft. Lbs.) followed by tightenting the front frame-to-body bolt to 155 nm (114 ft. Lbs.). The technician should replace the inner fender liner and install the right front tire with wheel before lowering the vehicle. The power steering reservoir needs fluid addition followed by system bleeding then leak inspection.
