How to replace the Tail Light on 2005 Buick LeSabre?

Beginning any tail lamp replacement requires removing the rear compartment sill plate first. Tail lamp bulb replacement requires skipping directly to connect the lamp connector through the body when replacing only bulbs. Disconnect the tail lamp connector then push the grommet through the rear end panel. First disconnect the fasteners which secure the tail lamp assembly to the body before pulling out the tail lamp assembly. Turn the tail lamp socket in the opposite direction to uninstall it before fixing any failed bulbs. Begin tail lamp installation by checking the complete grommet positioning within the body rear end panel when bulb replacement was the only reason for removing the tail lamp. You should insert the tail lamp bulb into the tail lamp socket while aligning the socket's tabs with the tail lamp assembly notches before screwing the socket clockwise. Attach the tail lamp assembly to the body after fastening the components with 6 n.m (53 lb in) of torque. After connecting the tail lamp connector, reinstall the rear compartment sill plate.
