  A: You should start by turning off the ignition before removing the air inlet duct to replace the upper Intake Manifold. First drain fuel system pressure before removing the fuel and evap hoses from the engine and finally the purge line from the purge line retainer. Remove the fuel feed hose bracket bolt and reposition the fuel feed hose, ensuring not to disconnect the Engine Control Module (ECM) electrical connectors or remove the ecm from its bracket; open the ecm bracket but leave the ecm undisturbed before setting it aside. To start, disconnect the purge solenoid electrical connector then remove the wiring harness from the right side of the Intake Manifold after disconnecting the Fuel Injector electrical connector from its bracket. The maintenance process begins by removing the Throttle Body electrical connector and Brake Booster Vacuum Hose together with the check valve from brake booster followed by removing the electrical connector for the baro sensor. First remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the Intake Manifold and then uninstall the Intake Manifold bolts (1-6) followed by removing and discarding the upper Intake Manifold gasket. If further separation of the Intake Manifold is required you should clean and examine both components and their sealing surfaces. Install the necessary Intake Manifold first then bolt the Intake Manifold into place while tightening the bolts (1-6) progressively to 23 nm (17 ft. Lbs.). Install the pcv hose onto the manifold surface along with the brake booster vacuum tube and check valve assembly while also connecting the Throttle Body electronic hardware. The electrical connector for the baro sensor must be reattached. Install the Fuel Injector electrical connector onto the Fuel Injector electrical connector bracket followed by connecting the Fuel Injector electrical connector. Secure the wiring harness and bracket to the right side of the Intake Manifold using 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) torque on the harness bracket bolts. Connect the purge solenoid electrical connector while installing the ecm bracket combined with the ecm unit before installing the fuel feed hose bracket with its bolt which needs to be tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Complete the installation by attaching the purge line to its retainer then placing engine hoses and the air inlet duct.
