    A: The first step to changing the liftgate lock cylinder is to take off the rear Wiper Motor and afterwards remove the lock rod from the lock cylinder. Then, remove the c clip which is in the groove of the lock cylinder and pull out the lock cylinder from the liftgate. To put the lock cylinder back, snap it into place in the liftgate, put the c clip in the groove, reconnect the lock rod, and lastly install the rear Wiper Motor.
