How to replace the inner tie rod on 2004 Chevrolet Corvette?

In order to change the inner tie rod, prepare the tools and take off the rack and pinion boot. Install the gear in a vise and take away the shock dampener and turn the inner tie rod housing counterclockwise. Install clean threads, install loctite (R), and tighten inner tie rod. Properly stake and check with a gauge and then re-attach the shock dampener.
