How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on 2004 Cadillac DeVille?

Start the vss replacement by lifting the vehicle and removing the two bolts (1, 3) that hold the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Pull out the Vehicle Speed Sensor by twisting it first as you disconnect the electrical connector and release retaining bolt (131). During installation put a new o-ring sensor seal on the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) and attach both pieces with the retaining bolt (131) which needs to be tightened to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Join the speed sensor electrical connector and bolt down point 1 and 3 in the transaxle-brace of the right Cylinder Head before lowering the vehicle.
