How to replace the Engine Control Module (ECM) on 2004 Cadillac DeVille?

In order to change the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), make sure that the ignition is out. Note the fluid and oil life indexes, and remove the battery negative cable. Disconnect the PCM connectors, remove the air filter element/PCM housing cover. Check parts of debris and damage. Install the PCM and reconnect all components making sure to align them correctly.
