Upon installing the new sensor, one should ensure a special anti-seize compound is applied to the threads; new service sensors should do so already and reused sensors should be coated with anti-seize compound gm p/n 5613695 or equivalent. Install the heated Oxygen Sensor taking the help of the Oxygen Sensor wrench (J 39194) and tighten it to 40 n.m (30 lb ft). Lastly, bring the vehicle down and reattach the heated Oxygen Sensor connector to the engine harness connector.
