How to replace the oil pan on 2004 Buick Rendezvous?

In order to replace the oil pan, unscrew the battery, detach the engine mount strut, and prop up the car. Rehike the A/C compressor, and cut the catalytic converter and drain the oil. Install the transmission and drop out the starter motor. Extract the oil pan and gasket, clean the surfaces and replace parts. Lastly, reattach the battery.
