A: To change the Steering Knuckle have initially the vehicle to be raised properly and supported. Once the tire and wheel assembly has been removed, next comes the front wheel drive shaft bearing. Subsequently, disconnect the front lower control arm ball stud and take out the outer Tie Rod End from Steering Knuckle. Scribe the strut to the knuckle and then take off the bolts that are connecting the strut to the knuckle before taking off the knuckle from the vehicle. To install, start by installing the knuckle back to the vehicle. Mount the bolts that join to the strut to the knuckle, making sure to tighten them up to 123 nm (90 ft. Lbs.). Remove the adapter washer to fit and replace then remove the top nut, lock washer and nut then washers and nut to the Steering Knuckle not the strut. The ball stud now goes on the front lower control arm knob to the knuckle steer the wheel drive shaft bearing then reattach the outer tie rod to the Steering Knuckle and the front bottom then lower. Lastly, reinstall the tire and wheel assemy and lower the vehicle. There is a list of tools that are needed for this procedure including the j24319-b universal steering linkage puller.
