How to Replace the Rear Axle Lower Control Arm Bushing on All Wheel Drive on 2003 Buick Rendezvous?

To replace the rear axle lower Control Arm bushings of all wheel drive vehicle, one will first raise and support vehicle and remove the wheel and tire assemblies. Then take out the coil spring and the lower Control Arm to crossmember mounting bolts (1, 5). Take measurement and recording the depth of installation of bushing in the Control Arm then marking the Control Arm with reference to the flat edge of bushing flange to determine its rotational orientation. Press the bushing out using a press. For installation, locate the new bushing for the same level and direction but with new bushing. Use a press to install to the Control Arm. Replace the lower Control Arm and mounting bolts (1, 5), as well as the coil spring and the wheel and tire assemblies. Lastly, carry out a checkup of the rear camber and toe angles, where necessary, and set the vehicle down.
