2002 Chevrolet S10 Blower Motor Resistor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the blower motor resistor assembly (C60) on 2002 Chevrolet S10?
A: You need to avoid grounding the metal coils of the blower resistor against any metal parts to protect its internal components. First disassemble the control Relay bracket with the Relay then disconnect the blower resistor wiring. Unscrew your hand for access to the ip and then remove the Blower Motor Resistor mounting screw. Use a sharp utility knife to cut a square opening in the case where you will find three attaching screws on the access cover. Insert the new Blower Motor Resistor assembly and fasten it with its mounting screw at 1.9 n.m tightness setting. Run black weather-strip adhesive along the cut-line edges until it sets up for 15 minutes to form a skin. Reposition the stud and connect the resistor harness before putting in the a/c Relay bracket.
