How to replace the Blend Door Actuator on 2002 Buick Rendezvous?

The knee bolster needs removal before starting the air temperature actuator replacement process. Position the defroster door lever by adjusting the hvac controls into vent mode. Start by removing the temperature door lever bolt attaching the hvac module then detach and remove the temperature door lever spring before removing the temperature door lever . The air temperature actuator electrical connector needs removal followed by screw deinstallation to withdraw the actuator from its position. Start the installation with air temperature actuator placement followed by mounting screw installation before applying 1.6n.m (14lb in) torque on both components. Connect the air temperature actuator electrical connector with the pin slotting into position at the temperature door lever opening. Attach the temperature door lever to its mount before fastening the temperature door lever against the hvac module case utilizing the temperature door lever spring and temperature door lever bolt at 0.9 n.m (8 lb in). Finally, reinstall the knee bolster.
