The Fuel Tank and evap canister and spare tire should be removed from two-door utilities before installation. The rear exhaust hangers need removal before lowering the exhaust system and placing rear axle support. First disconnect the frame to spring shackle mounting nut and bolt then remove the Leaf Spring to spring shackle mounting nut and bolt before taking out the spring shackle from the vehicle. Put the spring shackle on the vehicle then connect and tighten the Leaf Spring mounting nut and bolt but refrain from making the nut extra tight. Attach the frame elements to their spring shackle mounting bolt and nut before leaving them loose. Elevate the axle support until you achieve 164 - 176 mm separation (6.46 - 6.94 inch) between the axle tube and bumper bracket metal surface. After proper torque at 122 nm (89 ft. Lbs.) on the spring shackle mounting nuts, completely remove the rear axle support. The process includes raising the exhaust system while attaching rear exhaust hangers followed by spare tire reinstallation and eventually returning the Fuel Tank for 2-door utilities before letting the vehicle down.
