How to replace the Air Bag Clockspring in the steering wheel module on 2001 Chevrolet Impala?

You will have to disable SIR system in order to replace Air Bag Clock Spring. Take off the steering wheel, Air Bag Clock spring, and shrouds. Pull of wire harness straps and retaining ring. Install new Air Bag Clock spring, position and reconnect components. Lastly, permit the SIR system.
