How to replace the thermostat on 2000 Chevrolet Impala?

To install a thermostat, one has to remove the throttle body air inlet duct and attach the hose clamp at the thermostat housing. Empty the cooling system, disattach the radiator hose and take out the exhaust crossover pipe. Take out the housing of the thermostat, clean the surfaces and then fit in the new thermostat and housing. Re-assemble all and check against leakages.
