The j 42069-20 should be applied to camshaft gears 3 and 4 while checking for mark alignment; make adjustments if necessary. The same process should be used to align camshaft gears 1 and 2. Adjust belt alignment by first loosening the idler pulley of the Timing Belt then applying the j 42069-40 to achieve necessary motion direction of the eccentric either clockwise or counterclockwise before securing the idler pulley bolt at 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.) when maintaining contact with the eccentric. Twist the Crankshaft twice using j 42098 until it reaches 60 degrees before top dead center (BTDC) before installing the j 42069-10 to the Crankshaft drive gear. The j 42069-10 lever needs to engage with the water pump pulley flange to provide stable fixing. Additional check and realignment of camshaft gear marks against j 42069-20 must be performed when needed. To finish the Timing Belt Tensioner set the eccentric locking nut to 20 nm torque while setting the reference mark at 2-4 mm above the flange mark by turning the nut counterclockwise to the full stop and back. After completing engine reassembly all bolts must be torqued to specification following the removal of checking tools and a final inspection of alignment should be done.
