You should begin work by setting aside the air cleaner and Thermostat Housing before handling the Water Pump (LAF). You need to remove the Water Pump access plate from the front cover to drain the coolant through its bottom Drain Plug. Use the j 43651 Water Pump holding tool to support service operations while keeping it anchored by the access cover bolts. Loosen and take off three bolts at the center of the Water Pump sprocket before removing two bolts from the Water Pump housing. Then you can remove all bolts at the rear of the Water Pump assembly. Install and discard the o-ring seal with the Water Pump. Add a fresh Water Pump seal between the pump and engine block and make a guiding tool from an m 6 m x 6 mm threaded rod for proper installation alignment. Insert the Water Pump onto its engine block position before tightening bolts by hand and secure the sprocket internal parts with 25 nm torque. After installing the sprocket bolts at 10 nm (89 lb in) torque tighten the Water Pump holding tool j 43651 and reinstall both Water Pump access plate bolts at 10 nm (89 lb in). Install the Water Pump thermos stat and air filter cover at the end of the process.
