To remove the Throttle Body assembly, be gentle to the electronic throttle control parts to avoid damaging them, keep them from falling off or submerging them in any solvent during the cleaning process. There are 8 digit part identification number stamped on the Throttle Body casting important while service or part replacement. First, remove the intake air resonator, and then unplug the throttle actuator motor from the connector and remove the Throttle Body nuts. It is very essential to seal or plug openings in the process so that contamination is avoided. Then, take out the Throttle Body and throw the Throttle Body Gasket into the bin. For installation, install a new Throttle Body Gasket and installing Throttle Body, while adhering to the fastener notice in service precautions. Tighten Throttle Body nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in), reconnect throttle actuator motor electrical connector and install intake air resonator. Lastly, perform a scan tool check for proper throttle-opening as well as throttle-closing range, and press accelerator pedal to confirm its ability to move freely between closed and wide open throttle (WOT) (minimum the ignition OFF) as well as verify that the vehicle is not in a reduced engine power mode with ignition on and off.
