In order to replace the Crankshaft rear oil seal, first remove the
Flywheel. Then install the guide pins out of the Crankshaft rear seal puller (J 43320) into the Crankshaft and put the Crankshaft rear seal puller (J 43320) on top of the guide pins. Driving through the rear Crankshaft seal with an appropriate drill, fix eight self-driving sheet metal screws in a crisscross pattern; these self-tapping screws are attached with Crankshaft rear seal puller (J 43320). Thread the center bolt of the Crankshaft rear seal puller (J 43320), into the Crankshaft to separate the seal, and then after that remove the guide pins from the Crankshaft. Before installing, check the Crankshaft for grit, loose rust, and burr, and correct as required. Spray a very thin layer of oil on the sealing surface of the Crankshaft but not on the sealing surface of the engine block. Apply install the seal onto the Crankshaft rear seal installer (J42849), place it against the Crankshaft, screw the attaching screws into the tapped ones in the Crankshaft. While pressing the center nut until it bottoms out, ensure that you firmly tighten the screws with a screw driver so that the seal is mounted square over the Crankshaft. Lastly, uninstall the Crankshaft rear seal installer (J 42849) and reinstall the Flywheel.
