Start a 2wd wss replacement by lifting the vehicle and fixing it while removing the tire and wheel. First disconnect the brake rotor from 1500 vehicles and detach the wss mounting screw. Lift the sensor slowly through the bore without tools to stop the sensor body from breaking. You need to take the Wheel Speed Sensor out of its installation point on the hub/bearing assembly for the 2500/3500 series vehicles. To disconnect the wss electrical connector you need to remove the mounting clips from both the component parts. Fit the wss component into the hub/bearing assembly of 2500/3500 series products while sticking to fastener instructions. Apply an 18 nm force (13 ft. Lbs.) onto the wss mounting bolt before reinstalling its cable mounting clips to the knuckle, upper
Control Arm, and frame attachment point. Connect the wss cable electrical connector and then replace the brake rotor on 1500 models. Install the tire and wheel afterward before conducting the diagnostic system check - abs (W/O JL4).
