To replace the front brake pads, first one checks the level of fluid at the brake master cylinder reservoir; if it is halfway between the maximum full point and minimum allowable level, no fluids are drained off, but if it exceeds, make it at half way point. Lift up the vehicle and take away the tire and wheel set. When separated from its mount, the brake caliper should be supported by heavy mechanic's wire or an equivalent to check the operation of the caliper. To remove the caliper from mounting bracket, without disconnecting the braking system analogue hydraulic brake flexible hose, then take out the brake pads from the mounting bracket of the caliper and remove discarding them from the anti-rattle clips. Check caliper and mounting bracket prior to fitting new anti rattle clips to inside of caliper mounting bracket and new brake pads as previously observed during removal. After reinstalling the brake caliper and then the tire and wheel assembly, go ahead and remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle. With the engine turned off, gradually press the brake pedal to about 2/3 distance, let it off, and then wait 15 seconds to do it again until a firm pedal is achieved to precisely seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads. Lastly, top up the master cylinder reservoir at the correct level with clean brake fluid and burnish brake pads and rotors.
