Plugging or compression of the A/C Orifice Tube requires users to clear impacted particles before heating the inlet pipe with a hair dryer or heat gun at 7 mm (0.25 inch) from the dimples but avoid overheating the pipe. The A/C Orifice Tube remover and installer (J 26549-E) should be used to handle the A/C Orifice Tube while applying heat through a combination of turning motions and push-pull actions to extract the blocked A/C Orifice Tube. The shorter screen end requires insertion into the Evaporator before applying 525 viscosity refrigerant oil onto the o-ring seal.
