You can start the Power Steering Pump replacement for 4.8l, 5.3l and 6.0l engines by putting a drain pan under the vehicle and removing the Power Steering Pump pulley. The lower intermediate shaft attachment to power steering gear should have its retaining bolt removed before disconnecting the shaft from the power steering gear. First raise the vehicle, support it properly and remove the wheel along with the tire before continuing.
