The replacement process for hood primary latch cable begins by raising and supporting the hood before you remove the cable from Hood Latch and the retainer on radiator support. First, move the cable along with the grommet through the vehicle cabin from the engine compartment and then take off the left hinge pillar trim panel from the body. Begin by taking out the screws that secure the handle to the body then detach the handle. Detach the cable from its vehicle location at this point. Installation begins by placing the cable inside the vehicle after guiding it through the cabin and engine compartment while securing the bulkhead grommet. Install screws to connect the cable handle to the body structure. Reinstall the left side hinge pillar trim panel followed by connecting the cable to the radiator support retainer and Hood Latch before closing the hood.
