Proceed by extracting drive Pinion Bearing cups from the axle housing through the use of hammer and brass drift while maintaining balanced removal. To install the Pinion Bearing cups start by using the bearing installer (J 7817) alongside the driver handle (J 8092) for the outer cup positioned between. The installation of the inner cup requires the rear Pinion Bearing cup installer (J 29609) with driver handle (J 8092). Position the selective shim of determined width between the inner Pinion Bearing and gear shoulder. The Pinion Bearing race installer (J 5590) enables Pinion Bearing installation before the cone reaches full contact with the pinion shim. Before installation, apply appropriate axle lubricant to a new collapsible spacer along with assembling the pinion inside the axle housing. The pinion receives the outer Pinion Bearing before installation of the new pinion oil seal and the pinion yoke. Proceed with reinstalling the Differential and brake drums followed by tire wheels then add proper axle lubricant before lowering the vehicle.
