GMC Jimmy Pilot Bearing Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the pilot bearing on GMC Jimmy?
    A:
Changing the Pilot Bearing starts with the elimination of the engine Flywheel from its position. The clutch Pilot Bearing remover (J 43276) requires the user to apply a wrench to its tool body (J 43276-1) in order to prevent rotation because lacking this precaution may result in tool body damage. Install the tool body (J 43276-1) into the clutch Pilot Bearing and fasten it with a wrench. Through the use of forcing screw (J 43276-2) inserted into tool body (J 43276-1) users can rotate it clockwise to extract the clutch Pilot Bearing from the Crankshaft completely. Drop the forcing screw (J 43276-2) to detach it from the tool body (J 43276-1) before pulling the body away from the clutch Pilot Bearing. Use an appropriate installation tool to replace the old clutch Pilot Bearing and verify that the correct depth position of installation prior to reinstalling the engine Flywheel.
