The procedure for replacing the Camshaft begins with first removing both the Camshaft cover together with the intake and exhaust sprocket bolts. Set the j 44222 onto the Cylinder Head yet control the horizontal bolts to secure the Camshaft sprockets while upholding chain tension to keep away from Timing Chain components. Move sprockets along with the Timing Chain off both camshafts before removing and setting the Camshaft cap bolts in order alongside their corresponding locations. Leave and place the Camshaft caps in storage and remove both camshafts. Before Camshaft installation apply clean engine oil on its journals, thrust face and lobes then place both intake and exhaust camshafts back into their original positions. Install the j 44221 tool with its Camshaft flat surfaces facing upward at top dead center of cylinder number one. Place the Camshaft caps back into their original positions while bearing in mind the directional and numerical marking provided by the pins and then tighten bolts to 12 nm (106 lb in). Disconnect the j 44221 before correctly placing the Camshaft sprockets in position and removing the j 44222 component. Install the intake Camshaft washer with sprocket bolt while tightening this bolt to 20 nm (15 lb ft) during the initial stage then continue with 100 degrees of tightening using the j 36660-a. The exhaust Camshaft actuator bolt should be torqued to 25 nm first then receive an additional 135 degree turn with the j 36660-a. Finally, install the Camshaft cover.
