How to replace the front door jamb switch on GMC Jimmy?

The replacement of front door jamb switches should start by disconnecting the negative cable from the vehicle battery for safety reasons. Remove the instrument panel sound insulator starting from right side before proceeding to the left side. The electrical connector can be disconnected with an upward reach before applying pressure on locking tabs to extract the Door Jamb Switch from the vehicle. You must place the new Door Jamb Switch correctly then fully lock its tabs while you reconnect the electrical connector before proceeding. Put the instrument panel sound insulator on the right side into its place before moving to the left side and finally fastening the battery negative cable.

How to replace the front door jamb switch on GMC Sonoma?

The first step to replacing the front Door Jamb Switch is to disconnect the battery negative cable. The instrument panel sound insulator needs removal from both the right side and the left side of the vehicle. Use reach points to disconnect the electrical connector after which locking tab compression allows the Door Jamb Switch to be removed from the vehicle. Place the new Door Jamb Switch in its position while confirming that all locking tabs fit correctly under the surface. The electrical connector must be connected to the switch before reinstalling both instrument panel sound insulators on their respective sides. Connect the battery negative cable to finish the work.
