How to replace the Air Filter Box on GMC Jimmy?

Start the process by easing the clamp around the maf sensor to free up the Air Filter Box cover so you can remove the maf sensor and set it safely aside. Remove the Air Filter Box mounting nut then gently elevate the box upwards so grommets can release the studs. To install the Air Filter Box position it downward so the grommets can seat on the mounting studs before application of the Air Filter Box mounting nut with a torque setting of 10 n.m (88 lb in). The maf sensor needs gentle handling while keeping both hands off its sensing elements and screening at the air inlet end. Avoid any contact from solvents or lubricants. A small portion of spo (12345884) lubricant together with equivalent soap can help the installation process. For the last step thread the maf sensor into the Air Filter Box cover before securing it using a 4 n.m (35 lb in) torque setting for the maf sensor clamp.
