    Start the crankshaft balancer replacement process by taking off the Drive Belt followed by elevating and supporting the vehicle. Start by taking off the right front tire together with wheel and continue with the right engine splash shield. A utility stand should be placed beneath the frame right side rail to sustain the frame/powertrain and detach the two frame right side bolts. To work with the crankshaft balancer you should lower the frame using the utility stand. Begin by removing the crankshaft balancer retaining bolt accompanied by its washer and proceed to install the crankshaft balancer puller (J24420-C) for crankshaft balancer removal. Sealant gm p/n 12345739 or its equivalent should be applied to the crankshaft balancer keyway before positioning the component over the crankshaft key and using the crankshaft balancer installer (J29113) to guide the installation. Use the crankshaft balancer puller (J24420-C) to remove the crankshaft balancer washer and bolt. Install the washer followed by the bolt while tightening it to 103 nm (76 ft. Lbs.).
